On Sunday, July 22 at 8:00am 90 runners lined up to take their place at the start line of the annual 5k Run for the Park. This timed race has been instrumental in raising funds for the Manderach Memorial Playground at Limerick Community Park for over 15 years. The playground, completed in 1998, is a tribute to mother and daughter Lisa and Devon Manderach.

This year the 5k Run raised over $1000.00 to aid the maintenance of the playground as well as the installation of new equipment. In September the Township will unveil nine new pieces of playground equipment at the park.

These fundraisers and events are made possible by the community volunteres and local business sponsors. This year the run was sponsored by Maxout Strength Studio andThe Laskey Group of Ron Black Agency. Donations were also made by Dunkin Donuts, Giant, Costco, Younique Images, Connelly Chiropractic & Wellness, and Independence Foot and Ankle Associates.
