DePasquale Beats Maher for PA Auditor General

DePasquale, a York Democrat, eeked out a win against CPA John Maher with the smallest statewide margin.

York State Rep. Eugene DePasquale won the Pennsylvania Auditor General race,  beating out former CPA John Mayer by just over 3 percentage points.

While Maher, DePasquale's PA House colleague, lost his Auditor General bid, he won re-election as a state representative, and will be heading back to Harrisburg in January.

"I'm very proud of what we have accomplished," Maher said, according to the Upper St. Clair Patch. "My service will continue."

DePasquale is ready to get to work.

"I don't take deep breaths and I don't take days off," DePasquale told the Patriot-News. "I'm just looking forward to doing the job."
