Live (and free) Tonight: Jefferson Starship

The free Jefferson Starship concert begins Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. in Valley Creek Park.

Don't you want somebody to love? Don't you need somebody to love?

Maybe you do, maybe you don't. But if you just like that song, you can likely hear it played live tonight at a free concert.

Jefferson Starship will land in East Whiteland Wednesday night at 6 p.m. Here's what you need to know.

Where: Valley Creek Park

When: Concert begins at 6:30 p.m. Dirty Blind will open.

Cost: Free

Parking: In addition to the Valley Creek Park lot, parking will be available at Liberty Property offices on Countryview Road, north of the park in the Great Valley Corporate Center. Liberty Property has put in an improved walking path from their lot, through the wooded area, to the park.

Facilities: The park includes bathrooms, and early concert plans indicated a taco/burrito cart would be selling food.

Contribute: Volunteers and donations are still needed, according to organizers. Donations can be made via PayPal at www.friendsofsummerstage.com.

I am a 40 year starship/airplane fan who lives walking distance from the park, have seen this band through the years maybe 15 times and CAN'T WAIT. Paul Kantner is a fine musician and a true warrior.Carry the fire. Gordon Macklem Jr.
