Man Displays Gun in Dispute Over Parking Space
A report from this weekend's shopping frenzy at the Philadelphia Premium Outlets
The following was sent in by Limerick Township Police Chief Bill Albany:
Limerick Township Police responded to the Philadelphia Premium Outlet Mall Saturday afternoon after receiving reports that a man displayed a handgun during a dispute over a parking space. Witnesses told police that a silver Nissan pulled in front of an SUV to take the parking space the SUV was pulling into. The female operator of the SUV made a comment to the male operator of the Nissan and the male lifted his jacket to display a handgun tucked in his waistband. The male stated something to the effect of "You don't want this, don't act stupid."
The female left the area and called police.
Police were able to locate the male inside the mall and he was found to be carrying a loaded 380 caliber semi-automatic handgun. The subject - identified as Waymon Darnell Jones, age 24, of the 300 block of Morgan Drive in Limerick - was arrested and charged with terroristic threats.
Jones had a permit to carry the firearm and this was seized by police pending its return to the Montgomery County Sheriff's Dept. He was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Hummel and released on $10,000 unsecured bail.

This guy's stupidity is exactly the reason why some people don't want anyone to carry a weapon. Here is a dope who shouldn't be permitted to carry and is.....just goes to show you can't regulate responsibility or brains. This guy should be placed in the town square and flogged after which his license to carry is promptly revoked.

Bottom line - he threatened another person with a firearm. His permit needs to be revoked. This is not the first incident at the outlet stores in Limerick. IMHO - they ought to be shut down - as they only attract problems.

If carrying firearms is legal then I fail to understand what the problem was here. You can't have it both ways. All gun supporters should be rushing to this gentleman's support.

The problem if you can't see the obvious... is this "gentleman" -which I highly doubt, threatened a person with bodily harm over a parking space. It is called terroristic threats and stupid.

when he showed the firearm he was breaking the law- anyone knows if you have a carry permit that the weapon is for protection not to get what you want- for our police to deal with this is very dangerous as they take their lives on the line as how many have been killed by the people who are not legal to carry (CROOKS). this man was wrong and should have his permit revoked but then he would just carry illegally
