Missing Norristown Man Found
73-year-old John Smith was discovered tangled in some brush in a wooded area near the Regatta Apartments and the 1000 block of Main Street
Authorities have confirmed that 73-year-old John Smith, who had been missing since early Thursday morning, March 7, was found Monday evening. Smith is reportedly safe and currently being treated at Mercy Suburban Hospital for exposure and related minor injuries.
According to Norristown Police Lt. Todd Dillon, Smith was discovered entangled in some brush in a wooded area between the Regatta Apartments off Sandy Hill Road and the 1000 block of East Main Street. He was examined by emergency medical personnel at the scene and transported to the hospital for further treatment.
It's unclear how long Smith had been trapped in the wooded area, but his blood sugar levels indicated that he had eaten food in the last few days.
Smith reportedly suffers from Alzheimer's and efforts to locate him involved search parties scouring the streets and wooded areas of Norristown for several days in an attempt to find him.
Patch will update this story as more info is made available.

I'm glad the two little boys that found him did the right thing and alerted an adult, I don't feel how eer they should be rewarded, I think instead it should be impressed upon them how they did the right thing in helping someone and not expect something in return. There should be more people like these two little boys that do the right thing just because it is the decent thing and not what they could get in return.
