No Injuries in Lewis Road Collision

The road was closed off for about an hour on Monday night.

Limerick Police and Fire were on scene for a two-vehicle accident on Monday night at N. Lewis Road right outside of Piazza Honda. The accident was called in at about 6:30 p.m., but yielded no injuries.

Responding Officer Brian Tyler said the driver of a green Ford Taurus had some confusion of how he ended up in the lane he was in, but the driver of a white Lincoln, along with a witness traveling directly behind him, confirmed being in the correct lane of travel. Tyler also stated the operator of the Taurus was not suspected to be under the influence of any controlled substances or alcohol.

Limerick Towing and Recovery was on scene to tow both vehicles. There was some non-hazardous liquid on the ground from the crash, which was cleaned up by fire responders. Tyler estimated time the crash would be cleaned up and the roads would be reopened was about 7:30 p.m.

I drive through this area every night around 6pm, and at least once a week there is an accident. Too many cars and people not paying attention.
