The Limerick Post reports that school officials locked down Pope John Paul II High School on Wednesday morning after a situation was "perceived as a threat."

In such a situation, the school's procedure is to secure the school and contact Upper Providence police. 

Students and teachers are confined to the building and people are prevented from entering the building from the outside during a lockdown. 

However, school officials told the Post that although they thought there was a threat, that "after further investigation it was determined that no threat existed and the school day continued as normal."
