Rumors of snow and a Sunday storm are likely shaping up as just that ... rumors.
Assuming no unforeseen nor massive attack of storm track shifting, the odds of Sunday snow in the Philly burbs look pretty remote as of late Friday afternoon. Computer forecast projections suggest the vast majority of snow on Sunday falls south of the city. There is one computer forecast model that does suggest there could be some snow into Southeastern Pennsylvania on Sunday afternoon and evening; however, it is a clear outlier compared to everything else that suggests the storm will stay just far enough south of our neck of the woods to provide a miss.
With that said, we could see a brief shower of rain or a sprinkle on Saturday evening as a weak disturbance pushes through the region just after dinner. This disturbance should help nudge the southern storm system just far enough south to keep it away from the region.
If you are traveling south of Philadelphia on Sunday, the potential for an inch to three inches of snow lines up across Southern Delaware and Cape May County.
Feel free to check out Phillyweather.net over the course of the weekend just in case things do change and some snow does indeed slip into the Philadelphia metro.
