Report: Sacred Heart Appeal Denied

Appeal decisions were made today and Sacred Heart did not make the cut.

The following clip comes from The Pottstown Mercury:

PHILADELPHIA -- The appeal Sacred Heart School in Royersford filed with the Archdiocese of Philadelphia has failed.

In a morning press conference, Archbishop Charles J. Chaput announced the results of 24 appeals made by schools. Eighteen of the proposals of the Blue Ribbon Review Committee were altered, but Sacred Heart was not on that list.

The school remains on the list to close, along with St. Eleanor School in Collegeville. The two are slated to merge into a new school at the St. Eleanor site.
