Rofo Library Will See No Decrease in Funding
Despite that, the library still needs membership help.
The Royersford Free Public Library recently sent out a newsletter announcing that there will be no decrease in funding in the 2012 budget.
"We will receive the same amount of funding in 2012 as we did in 2011," the newsletter said. "This is wonderful news. We couldn't have done it without the incredible support of our library community. All your comments, emails, and phone calls reached the Commissioners' ears."
The newsletter also asked library enthusiasts to send a note of thanks to the commissioners for their consideration.
The Friends of the Royersford Library also indicated they are in desperate need of new members.
"We are looking for new people to help run the group," the letter said. "If you have any interest in helping, please send us an email or let Miss Nancy know!"
Finally, there is a "GO GREEN" class for grades K to 4 today. Library officials ask that you please call the library to preregister for this and any other classes.

This is great news given that the library was in desperation about a month ago. Glad to see things are looking up for a part of our community that is truly a blessing and an asset.

Thanks to everyone in the community for supporting the library and for your advocacy to the county in December.
