An update on our buddy Notorious B.O.B. from Quad-City
We recently heard Royersford's very own Notorious B.O.B. Shoudt won $1,500 in an eating competition out in Bettendorf, Iowa. Below is an excerpt from the Quad-City Times.
Bob “Notorious B.O.B.” Shoudt of Royersford, Pa., bested the competition by consuming 20 sandwiches in the allotted 10 minutes, earning him the top prize of $1,500.
“I feel great,” he said afterward. “I feel good. I’ve been eating a lot of shrimp wontons training for this contest. And it paid off here.”
Shoudt’s efforts came up short of last year’s championship appetite when Pat “Deep Dish” Bertoletti of Chicago ate 26 of the sandwiches. Bertoletti did not compete Saturday.
Carrying the giant winner’s check, Shoudt hurried out the door to catch a plane to Philadelphia.

I just heard a report this AM about the number of senior citizens in our area who aren't getting enough to eat because they can't afford it. Where are our priorities?
