Royersford Teen Struck By Car Dies

Brian Clarke, 16, of Royersford, died Monday

The Pottstown Mercury reports 16-year-old Brian Clarke died Monday after suffering severe injuries in a car accident last week.

Clarke was hit by a car while riding his bicycle on South Township Line Road on Wednesday, July 11, and was flown to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania that night.

In a previous Mercury article, Brian's father said he still "had no brain activity" on Friday the 13th and was "not expected to recover".

Brian's family told the Mercury that he was an organ donor.

Clarke is survived by his mother Kathleen, father Brian, Sr., and brother Aidan, who is 12 years old.

According to an obituary posted on the Mercury website, visitation will take place on Friday evening from 6:00pm to 8:00pm and on Saturday morning from 9:30am to 10:30am at Catagnus Funeral Home, 329 N. Lewis Rd., Royersford.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30am Saturday morning.
