Royersford isn't the only area municipality to celebrate the drug/crime awareness night. Spring City will also play host to the national event.
Spring City will host its National Night Out on Aug. 2 from 5-8 p.m. The event is sponsored by The Spring City Lions Club in cooperation with Target and will be held at Brown Street Park.
Festivities include rock climbing, bounce and slide, music by The Rockin' Rotarians and The Reluctants, free swimming at the pool, tattoos and DNA kits for kids, the Lowes craft table, and local fire and emergency squads will be on hand.
Special guests attending are Senator Andy Dinniman and McGruff. The Spring City Lions Club will be offering its handmade pulled pork sandwiches once again, along with plenty of other refreshments.
