This press release was sent in by Pennsylvania American Water.

Pennsylvania American Water announced today that the Spring-Ford Education Foundation received a $2,500 grant through the company’s participation in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program.

The EITC grant program provides for tax credits to eligible businesses that contribute to a Scholarship Organization, Educational Improvement Organization and/or Pre-Kindergarten Scholarship Organization. Companies that donate to an eligible organization will be awarded Educational Improvement Tax Credits as long as state funding for the tax credits is available. Spring-Ford Education Foundation is one of 20 organizations that Pennsylvania American Water recently awarded an EITC grant to further the services they provide to the community.

“We’re pleased to be able to support the Spring-Ford Education Foundation, which does such important work in providing exciting learning opportunities for the community’s young people,” said Kathy L. Pape, president, Pennsylvania American Water. “With our donations through the EITC program, we are helping a broad range of organizations that provide classroom technology to public schools, support students seeking higher education, assist families in need and offer educational resources in our local communities.”

Information about the EITC program is available at www.newpa.com.
