10-month-old Saanvi Venna's family had just moved to King of Prussia in June of this year. Authorities seek to identity anyone with a motive to harm the family.
Local authorities on Tuesday were working with the FBI to identify any suspects of motives in Monday's suspected abduction of 10-month-old Saanvi Venna from her home in a King of Prussia apartment tower on Monday.
Authorities said Saanvi's 61-year-old grandmother, Satyavathi Venna, was found murdered in the home when Upper Merion Township Police arrived at the scene early Monday afternoon.
Satyavathi Venna, who was visiting from India, had been staying with her son, Venkata Konda Siva Venna (Saanvi's father) and her daughter-in-law, Chenchu Latha Punuru, Saanvi's mother. The elder Venna was scheduled to return to India in January. Her body was being autopsied on Tuesday, authorities said.
The family had been living in the apartment since June of this year after emigrating from India in 2007. They had previously lived in San Antonio, Texas, Troy, Michigan, and Cleveland, Ohio.
No suspects have been identified in connection with the murder or the abduction, and authorities appealed to the public for help identifying anyone who might have had "ill will" or any other motive to harm the family.
Those with information that might help authorities are asked to call the Upper Merion Township Police Department at 610 265 3232 or the Montgomery County Detective Bureau at 610 278 3368.

The phrasing in this sentence is awkward.
"Authorities said Saanvi's 61-year-old grandmother, Satyavathi Venna, was found murdered by Upper Merion Township Police early Monday afternoon." It makes it sound like the police murdered the grandmother.

Why is there no mention of the baby's Mom? The grandma that was murdered is the Dad's mother. One article mentions that Grandma came from India for a few months to stay with her son and daughter-in-law. Where is the daughter-in-law (the baby's mom)?

This is what I was wondering. I hope and pray they had nothing to do with this.

I would like to know who called the police to report this incident. It doesn't say. Makes you wonder even more. I am also surprised if the "luxury" apartment building did not have surveillance on each floor let alone at the entrances and parking area. ????

Most of the immigrant families the man only talks to authorities. The mom may be grieving and may not be even in a position to make a comment.

@OMG: It is not really important for us to know who reported the incident. It is very important that if the murderer has not totally fled the area, they not be given a clue whom to eliminate to make their conviction more difficult in the future.

What would make a person go to a specific apartment ..Kill a grandmother and kidnap a baby? It is not easy to find anyone in a apartment complex unless you knew exactly where to go. Apparently, the murderer knew the Venna's .. to be able to gain entrance to the apartment .. unless the door was knocked in. In that case, It would be obvious to the other tenants on the same floor that something was very wrong. I would hope the apartment complex would have many security camera's posted to protect all their tenants. That poor baby.. probably wanting her mom & dad. I can't imagine the pain all involved are going through.

Yes, why are none of these stories addressing the baby's mother? Where is she?

@KR, it is important to know who called. The murderer could have called and they never said in the stories first printed. One story said the father of the baby called. I know something does not sound right readin the stories. I just hope they find the baby safe.

I wonder if the police searched in all the apartments in the building and near by buildings. Who knows the suspects could be hiding in one of the apartments knowing that police would most probably be looking outside areas for the baby??? I just pray God would show his miracle by keeping the baby safe and returning to her parents.
