Last week, we saw a "Visions for Vacancies" success, when we heard VC Dollar was coming to Limerick in one of our former empty storefront locations. I'll be chatting with the owner this week. But, in the meantime, let's continue our series with yet another location.

This shop is located on Buckwalter Road and is surrounded by an array of different types of shops. There's a dentist, good will store, a pet shop, a Japanese steak house and a cigar store all in this shopping center, just to name a few. So, what else may be needed here?

I think we can definitely rule out food, as there's also a pizza place, an Applebee's, and a Chick-fil-A, too. What about a craft store? Or maybe a discount electronics/gaming store? I was recently searching for a dermatologist in the area, maybe that would fit here. Could this be the best location for that book store we've heard requested in previous editions of this series? You be the judge!

What do you want to see go here? Tell us what you think and why. This storefront is unique to many of the others we've discussed in recent weeks. Leave your thoughts in the comments section and keep an eye out for more stories like this. We'll try to highlight an empty storefront every week.

The biggest problem with that shopping center now is that it is missing an anchor grocery market since Genuardi's (actually Safeway) closed.

IF we could get a new market in that main space - pls petition Trader Joe's like crazy - then other open slots could fill with a variety of shops and services.

Spring-Ford Residents, the future of that entire shopping center really is in OUR hands, or more accurately our typing/texting fingertips.

I agree with Kathy . . . an Food Store anchor like Trader Joes or Whole Foods . . . or even a standard supermarket like an Acme. Let's not let Giant have ALL the food business in this neighborhood!

Let me rephrase. I have already gone on Trader Joes website and suggested the Limerick/Collegeville/Royersford/Phoenixville area as a place to consider putting in a Trader Joes. The closest Trader Joes is in Wayne, PA, which I never get to because it's just to far to travel for groceries. If there was a Trader Joes more local I would go often, because the prices are actually REALLY good. I don't think Giant would suffer to bad either, since Trader Joes doesn't have EVERYTHING, but has a lot of speciality groceries for better prices. In addition, Trader Joes would do very well, because quite frankly I've never been in a Trader Joes that WASN'T packed with people.

I like the Big Lots idea. Also Ollie's Bargain Outlet. Instead of a grocery store moving into Genuardi's location, what about a Walmart?

How about a gym, not Planet Fitness

I would love to see a farmers market go in there, maybe something like the one in Strafford or even the one in Bird-in-Hand. That way many local businesses could participate and bring all the wonderful local fare to one location.
