This week we'll head to a strip mall in Limerick and ask your opinion on what new and exciting business you'd like to see in our area. Familiarize yourself with Ridge Pike in Limerick. Do you know where Dunkin Donuts is? How about Franklin's? Make that right onto Kugler Road and see the shopping center behind it. That is where this week's empty storefront rests.

This is the old "Time 2 Party" location. The shop sits between Bravo Pizza and Blinds 48. Looking inside the windows of the shop, I saw a big empty space with a colorful floor. You know what that means? A lot of potential for any kind of store. You can literally put anything in here - the sky is the limit.

So let your imagination run wild, folks! I was thinking this might be a good spot for a Philly Soft Pretzel, which was suggested at last week's Blockbuster location. Einstein Bagels was also suggested last week. That would be a good fit. What about a smoothie shop? And here's a new one... We don't have a place nearby that specializes in just sushi. I bet that would be a nice fit, especially with the Chinese takeout in the same shopping center.

Let's think outside the box ladies and gentleman! Is there something you've been dying to have in our area that you think is a perfect fit in this space?

What do you want to see go here? Tell us what you think and why. This storefront is unique to many of the others we've discussed in recent weeks. Leave your thoughts in the comments section and keep an eye out for more stories like this. We'll try to highlight an empty storefront every week.

Joey..... You got that right. If I had the monies needed to do that I would be on it like stink on catfish bait! Yes, a good Tackle Store would sure be nice. I don't know if you were around when Mr. Weikel had his store on Main St. and another would be perfect.

these stores go out probably because of the high rent - they keep building all these malls because the township does not care about the owner's as long as they keep getting their blood money- I know we all have to live and work but for so may stores everywhere it is no wonder they can't stay open it is all about the money

It's a shame you feel that way Henry. But, the reason we're doing this series is because there ARE a lot of empty stores in this area. It's cool to see the variety of ideas that may fit around town.

it would be nice to see them all filled but I don't think that will ever happen.

I'd like to see another gift shop make a go of it, like the Apple Basket, which used to be in that shopping center. They had problems because of the economy, and they had two locations. We need a nice little gift shop, where you can get in, buy a nice housewarming or birthday gift, or home decor item, and get back out. I miss that store!
