More About Western Montgomery Career and Technical Center
Formerly known as the Western Center for Technical Studies, this vocational high school opened in 1968 and serves students in grades 10-12 from three different area school districts: Spring-Ford, Upper Perkiomen and Pottsgrove.
Students may enroll in courses to prepare them for careers in automotive repair, HVAC service, early childhood education, culinary science, cosmetology, carpentry, commercial art, computer information systems and other fields. Student-run services that are available to the public under faculty supervision include a restaurant, beauty salon, part-time preschool and a garden shop.
A massive renovation and overhaul of the school's facilities was begun in 2008 and completed in 2010.
