Too often, this time of year seems to be characterized by too little time with our loved ones, too little money, and too much stress. Treat yourself and your family and friends to a holiday experience that promises to be just the opposite. Come enjoy a free event that focuses on the true meaning of Christmas.
Get up close and personal with a live nativity in the cool of a December evening, spend time in quiet prayer, tour our parish and grounds, enjoy a delicious cup of hot chocolate and some fresh baked cookies, even sing a Christmas carol or two.
St. Anthony of Padua Parish, “the church on the hill,” is known by many for its spirit of friendliness and welcome. While the church suffered a tragic fire on Christmas Eve morning 2000, it has rebuilt its church as well as an Education Center, the grounds of which will host the live nativity event this Christmas.
St. Anthony’s is located at 259 Forest Avenue in Ambler. For more information please call 215-646-4742 or visit www.saintanthonyparish.org.
St. Anthony’s first live nativity was very well received and is sure to become an annual tradition for the hundreds of families that came last year. Treat your family to an old-fashioned holiday event or start a new holiday tradition. Escape from the holiday madness, if just for a few hours, and let the spirit of St. Anthony’s welcome you back to the real meaning of Christmas. You will be glad you did.
