 quired.\n&nbsp\;\nAs the National Collage Society celebrates the 100th a
 nniversary of  collage in 2012\, the Philip and Muriel Berman Museum of 
 Art is delighted  to collaborate once again with the NCS on its annual j
 uried  exhibi&shy\;tion\, which is on display from June 9 through Aug. 1
 2 in the  Upper Gallery.\nA reception in honor of the 100th anniversary 
 milestone will be held  on July 12 from 6 to 8 p.m.\, with music by the 
 Paul Woznicki Trio.\nA Collage Workshop is scheduled for July 14 and led
  by Gretchen  Bierbaum\, President\, National Collage Society. Pre-regis
 tration is  required at 610-409-3500.\nThe installation was rigorously r
 eviewed by the Jury of Selection:  Christine Poggi\, Professor\, History
  of Art\, University of Pennsylvania\;  Daniel Miller\, artist and Chair
  of the Graduate Programs\, The  Pennsylva&shy\;nia Academy of the Fine 
 Arts\; and Carol Wisker\, collage artist  and ad&shy\;ministrator.\nColl
 age existed in many craft forms before Georges Braque and Pablo  Picasso
  incorporated it into their art in 1912\, elevating it to a fine  art. T
 he genre evolved through the 20th century using contem&shy\;porary  medi
 a and new dimensions. The National Collage Society was founded to  educa
 te the public about this art medium through exhibitions\, lectures\,  pu
 blications and workshops.\nThe Philip and Muriel Berman Museum of Art at
  Ursinus College\, known  for its diverse collection and innovative educ
 ational programming\, is  open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.\, Tuesday through Frida
 y\, and&nbsp\;noon to 4:30 p.m. on  Saturday and Sunday. The Museum is c
 losed Mondays and college  holidays.&nbsp\;The Museum is accessible to t
 he physically disabled\, and  admission is free. The Museum is accredite
 d by the American Association  of Museums. Exhibitions and programs are 
 funded in part by a grant from  the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts and
  annual support from Epps  Advertising.
