DESCRIPTION:A program made up entirely of music from the Bach family is p
 lanned  for the next Heefner Organ Recital on Feb. 17 at 4 p.m. in Bombe
 rger  Auditorium\, the location of the 62-rank Heefner Memorial Organ. T
 he  performance by College Organist Alan Morrison is free and open to th
 e  public.\nThe program will include pieces by Johann Sebastian Bach\,  
 Johann Christoph Bach\, Johann Berhardt Bach and Carl Phillip Emmanuel  
 Bach.\nAlan Morrison is recognized as one of America's premier  concert 
 organists\, performing in prestigious concert organ venues across  the U
 nited States and in Canada\, as well as in international festivals.  Mr.
  Morrison is the head of the organ department at The Curtis  Institute o
 f Music\, Associate Professor of Organ at Westminster Choir  College of 
 Rider University and was recently was appointed to the head  of the orga
 n department at Westminster Choir College of Rider  University. He frequ
 ently conducts master classes sponsored by the  American Guild of Organi
 sts. He has been invited to present a recital  and master class at the S
 t. Petersburg Conservatory (Rimsky-Korsakov)\,  Russia.\nHe maintains an
  active and versatile career as recitalist\,  chamber musician\, orchest
 ral soloist\, adjudicator\, teacher and  recording artist. He has perfor
 med in virtually all the major organ  venues/concert halls in the USA. H
 is performance during the inaugural  festival of the Dobson organ in Phi
 ladelphia&rsquo\;s Kimmel Center (Verizon  Hall)\, where he performs reg
 ularly\, drew laudatory reviews from numerous  national publications. He
  is the only American invited to give a solo  recital and serve as judge
  for the St. Alban&rsquo\;s International Organ  Festival (UK) in July 2
 013. His discography includes 12 CD&rsquo\;s on Gothic\,  ACA\, DTR and 
 Halyx labels.\nHe is a graduate of Curtis and  Juilliard receiving degre
 es in both organ and piano accompanying/chamber  music. His teachers inc
 lude John Weaver\, Cherry Rhodes\, Sarah Martin  (organ)\, Robert Harvey
