 ritten by Laurence Holder\, &ldquo\;Zora&rdquo\; is a dramatic biography
  of the life of Zora Neale Hurston\, a prolific African-American writer 
 of the 1930s and one of the most important and celebrated figures to eme
 rge from the Harlem Renaissance. Incorporating music from the era and so
 uthern folklore\, the story focuses on Hurston&rsquo\;s battle to preser
 ve her people&rsquo\;s culture and to live an authentic life against all
  odds.
