 \; CONCERT SERIES\nTrappe &ndash\; The Grammy winning Chestnut Brass Com
 pany will present the second program on the A Little Night Music concert
  series at the Community Music School\, 775 West Main Street in Trappe.&
 nbsp\; The concert will take place on Saturday\, November 10th at 8:00 P
 M. &nbsp\;Tickets priced from $16 to $18 can be purchased online at http
 ://www.cmsmusic.org/little-night-music or reserved in advance by calling
  610-489-3676.&nbsp\; Tickets will also be available for purchase at the
  door.&nbsp\; A Master Class with Chestnut Brass Company will be offered
  4:00-5:30pm\, cost $10.&nbsp\; Please call CMS to pre-register.\nAs is 
 the custom with &ldquo\;A Little Night Music&rdquo\; concerts\, each eve
 ning begins at 7PM with the opening reception of a new exhibit in The Ga
 llery at CMS.&nbsp\; The featured visual artist will be Michael Adams of
  Norristown exhibiting artworks in a show titled &ldquo\;Nature&rsquo\;s
  Way&rdquo\;.&nbsp\;&nbsp\; A former Senior Designer at Lenox Collection
 s\, he is well known in the collectible industry and has illustrated six
  children&rsquo\;s books. As a fine artist\, he is recognized for his po
 rtraits of birds in watercolor\, acrylic and stone sculpture. Recently\,
  Michael was commissioned to paint a historical/patriotic mural for the 
 town of Jersey Shore\, PA and was a featured wildlife artist in the John
  James Audubon Gallery at Mills Grove Sanctuary in Audubon\, PA.\nThe Gr
 ammy winning Chestnut Brass Company has earned international acclaim for
  brilliant performances on modern and historical brass instruments. Sinc
 e beginning as a street band in Philadelphia in 1977\, they have perform
 ed in North and South America\, Europe\, the Caribbean\, and Asia.&nbsp\
 ;\nThe chamber ensemble is active in the performance and commissioning o
 f contemporary music\, and has introduced numerous new works to audience
 s around the country. Composers who have written works for the Chestnut 
 Brass Company\, or have been commissioned by the Chestnut Brass Company\
 , include Richard Wernick\, Peter Schickele\, Leslie Bassett\, Eric Stok
 es\, Theodore Antoniou\, Jan Krzywicki\, and Paul Basler. The brass quin
 tet has received awards for commissioning and performance from the NEA\,
  the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts\, Chamber Music America and Meet t
 he Composer.\nAs curators of the sounds of ancient and antique brasses\,
  the Chestnut Brass Company have been at the forefront of the period-ins
 trument revival with performances on cornetti\, sacbuts\, keyed bugles a
 nd saxhorns. The quintet continues to collect antique brass instruments 
 and to research the literature and performance practice of these instrum
 ents.&nbsp\;\nThis extraordinary diversity of repertoire and instrumenta
 tion enables the Chestnut Brass Company to offer a variety of exciting\,
  entertaining and innovative programs. They can be heard on the Sony\, N
 ewport Classic\, Crystal and Musical Heritage/Musicmasters labels. Selec
 tions from CBC recordings have been featured on several documentaries ra
 nging from A House Divided for PBS\, to Pinehurst\, the History of Golf.
