DESCRIPTION:Ursinus College has teamed with the Collegeville Economic Dev
 elopment  Corp. (CEDC) to offer "Dinner and a Show\,&rdquo\; with local 
 restaurants  offering dinner specials to individuals attending the Ursin
 us Theater  Department's slapstick British comedy Noises Off.\nNoises Of
 f\, by British playwright and novelist Michael Frayn\,  will be performe
 d Feb. 20 through Feb. 23 at 7:30 p.m. in the  Kaleidoscope Performing A
 rts Center&rsquo\;s Lenfest Theater. It is directed by  Beverly Redman\,
  Chair of the Theater and Dance Department. Tickets are  $5 for general 
 admission\, and $2 for students and senior citizens. For  information an

 n in 1982\, Noises Off is more than a play within a play.  It hilariousl
 y offers three variations of a fictional comedy: dress  rehearsal\, back
 stage and end of run. The result is off-stage bedlam and  on-stage chaos
 . The idea for the Noises Off came to Frayn as he watched a performance

 o\;Dinner &amp\; a Show&rdquo\; special should order tickets from the CE
 DC web site\, which is www.collegevilledevelopment.org.  Tickets are $5 
 each\, or $2 for students and seniors age 65 and over.  After reserving 
 tickets online through the site\, individuals will be  issued a receipt 
 to print and show at the restaurant on the day of the  performance to re
 ceive the dinner special. Participants will also need  to present the re
 ceipt at the box office in order to pay for and pick up  reserved ticket
 s. Theatergoers should arrive at the box office at least  15 minutes bef

  received her Ph.D. from the University of California\, San  Diego havin
 g completed her dissertation on the history of the San  Francisco Mime T
 roupe. She also holds an M.F.A. in directing from UC  Irvine and an M.A.
  in Composition and Rhetoric from Georgetown  University. She has taught
  at Charles County Community College\,  Georgetown University\, Universi
 ty of California\, Irvine\, Loyola  Marymount\, Los Angeles\, and the Un
 iversity of Texas at El Paso. At  Ursinus\, she teaches voice and speech
 \, theater history and literature\,  and she also directs for the depart
 ment. Professor Redman has been with  Ursinus College since 2006.\nUrsin
 us College is a highly selective\, independent coeducational liberal art
 s college  located on a scenic\, wooded\, 170-acre campus in suburban Ph
 iladelphia.  The college is one of only 8 percent of U.S. Colleges to ho
 st a chapter  of Phi Beta Kappa.
