DESCRIPTION:The Center for Science and the Common Good at Ursinus College
  hosts  a  global policy director Nov. 15 at 7 p.m. in Pfahler Auditoriu
 m. This   free event is open to the public.\nDr.  Matt Wenham is an Asso
 ciate Director with the Institute on  Science for  Global Policy. Dr. We
 nham received his  bachelor&rsquo\;s and  honors degrees in biochemistry
  from the University of  Adelaide\, South  Australia and his Ph.D. from 
 the Sir William Dunn  School of Pathology\,  University of Oxford\, Unit
 ed Kingdom\, where he was  a Rhodes Scholar. As a  postdoctoral research
  fellow at the National  Institutes of Health in  Bethesda\, Maryland\, 
 Dr. Wenham&rsquo\;s research  examined the interaction of  protein toxin
 s produced by pathogenic E. coli strains with human cells.\nThe Institut
 e on Science for Global Policy (ISGP)\, in Tuscon\, Ariz.\,   and Washin
 gton\, D.C.\, offers an ongoing series of dialogues and  critical  debat
 es examining the role of&nbsp\;science and technology in  advancing  dom
 estic and international policy decisions.\nThe Center for Science and th
 e Common Good at Ursinus College   provides opportunities for all Ursinu
 s students to consider the impact   of science on the common good and to
  learn to better communicate   scientific research to the public. It is 
 funded by a grant from the   Howard Hughes Medical Institute.
