After drying out from the rainy competition in Schuylkill Heaven a week ago, where they marched off with a first place award, the Spring-Ford Area High School Golden Ram Marching Band was in competition again this past Saturday, September 28, 2013, at North Penn High School in Lansdale, PA.  The show was a US Bands event with eight bands competing.

The Golden Rams received the highest overall score for the show, including winning caption awards for Best Music, Best Visual, Best Effect, and Best Percussion.  As is always the case, the small group of dedicated volunteers, who move the band and equipment, were proud of the students and their accomplishments.

The Golden Rams, staff, and volunteers are this week gearing up to host their Home Show, a Tournament of Bands competition on Saturday, October 5, 2013 at Spring-Ford High School’s Coach McNelly Stadium.

This is the 50th Annual Pageantry of Sound and it is shaping up to be a spectacular event with eight area bands performing.  The Spring-Ford Middle School Marching Unit will start the show, and the High School marching band will conclude it.
