Spring-Ford Marching Bands Big Night

Saturday night the Spring-Ford Middle School and Spring-Ford High School Golden Ram Marching Bands walked off the Whitehall HS stadium field with high honors before an appreciative crowd at the Tournament of Bands Eastern PA, State Championship.
The Spring-Ford Middle School Band opened the evening, performing their finest effort of the 2013-14 School Year. The band, under the direction of Ms. Kris Jennings, received award for high music, visual, color guard and percussion while receiving a final score of 74.85 from the judges. The band is looking forward to showing their skills off at the upcoming Halloween Parades in Royersford and Spring City.
The Spring-Ford HS Golden Ram Band also performed its best performance of the year this evening and walked off with the TOB Eastern PA Championship with at score of 93.20 over the second place Wilson HS from West Lawn, PA who was awarded a score of 90.10. The Golden Rams, under the direction of Mr. Seth Jones, for their evening’s presentation also received awards for high music, visual, color guard along with percussion, along with special award as the Most Outstanding Band of the evening. The Spring-Ford HS band this coming week will be performing at this Friday’s football game at OJ Roberts, then travel Saturday to perform at the CB West HS marching band show in Doylestown, PA which is a Cavalcade of Bands event. Also three Sr. members of the band received scholarship award from the TOB Chapter 3. The three members were Ms. Abby Boyce, Ms. Erica Geisler and Mr. Karl Segletes.
The Golden Rams have a very busy upcoming schedule which will see them in the next several weeks performing also in the Royersford and Spring City parades and two upcoming championship events in Hershey, PA.
