This year’s production is “Strange Paradise”, based on the music of Alexander Borodin “Polovetsian Dances” written by Dr. Andrew Yozviak of West Chester University.  One of the best known sections of the “Polovetsian Dances” became popular and most famous titled “Strangers In Paradise”, which runs thru this year’s production along with other sections from the well known ballet works.  The 135 member band, working under the strange side musically and visually this year gas changed from its past style of design a bit, while working to maintain the same level of presentation as its award winning past.

Under the direction of Mr. Seth Jones, in his second year at Spring-Ford, has the band facing a busy schedule that not only includes football games, community events but also competitions thru the second weekend in November, highlighted with the Spring-Ford Band defending the Tournament of Bands Group !V Championship.  The Marching Rams will be looking to not only defend last years championship but to extend their championship run in TOB, which has seen them earn championship titles 2006 thru 2008, 2009 Runner Ups and 2010-2012 champions.  The band also this year will be returning to compete in Cavalcade of Bands for first time since 2010 when they won their third COB championship in a row from 2008-2010.  The marching band then will end its fall season performing in the West Chester, PA Holiday Parade in early December since their last performance in 2011 when they were the Parades Honor Band after being selected 2010 the Parades Grand Champions.
