Dexter Volpe Awarded First Annual Chairman’s Award by The Rose Group

Director of People Development of The Rose Group Honored at The Phoenixville Foundry

The Rose Group, a leading franchisee of Applebee's Grill & Bar and Corner Bakery Cafe, is pleased to announce Dexter Volpe, Director of People Development, as the recipient of the first annual Chairman’s Award at The Rose Group’s yearly Awards Ceremony. The event was held at The Phoenixville Foundry on September 9, 2013. The Chairman’s Award recognizes a company member who has shown dedicated leadership and outstanding passion for the business.

“Dexter understands The Rose Group’s culture and delivers it,” states Harry Rose, award presenter and Chairman of The Rose Group. “He has an extraordinary commitment to the business and comes in each day exemplifying a ‘can do’ attitude. He truly desires to be the best. We couldn’t ask for better qualities in a leader.”

Mr. Volpe is a sixteen-year veteran of The Rose Group. He began his career as an Applebee’s General Manager in 1997 and was promoted to Training Manager in 2001. Three years later Mr. Volpe was named Director of Training where he was recognized as 2005’s “Associate of the Year.” He was then titled Director of People Development, his current position, in March of 2006. 

“Integrity is a very meaningful thing to Dexter. He brings positive energy and enthusiastically supports everyone on our team,” states Bonnie Lippincott, Vice President of Operations and Mr. Volpe’s superior. “He approaches every interaction as an opportunity to coach and injects aspects of our Rose Group culture into each of them. He ‘walks the walk’ and doesn’t just speak to the concept of culture, he IS the culture.”
