Royersford Community Chest Announces 2013 Grant Recipients

The Royersford Community Chest was established in 1937 to serve nonprofit and community organizations that serve the greater Royersford (and now Spring-Ford) community.  Each year, the Community Chest donates to a number of nonprofits and community organizations that serve the community in various good deeds.

In 2013, the Community Chest donated $13,300 to thirteen nonprofit and community organizations:

·         Baptist Children’s Services – for the Meridian Home For Girls

·         Creative Health Services

·         Family Services’ Meals on Wheels Program

·         Girl Scouts

·         Helping Hands

·         Open Door

·         Project Outreach

·         Royersford Free Public Library

·         Spring City American Legion Baseball

·         Spring-Ford Area Historical Society

·         Spring-Ford Babe Ruth Baseball

·         Spring-Ford Counseling Services

·         Visiting Nurses Association of Pottstown & Vicinity

The Community Chest will welcome funding requests from nonprofit and community organizations this Fall, with a decision on funding to follow in early 2014.
