Increased 422 Congestion Anticipated in October: PennDOT

Roadwork will occur on the highway in Lower Pottsgrove and North Coventry Townships.

Lane restrictions and traffic stoppages will occur on Route 422 over the next month, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT).

Here is the work schedule:

• One lane will be closed on eastbound Route 422 between the Route 724 and Sanatoga interchanges in Lower Pottsgrove Township, Montgomery County and North Coventry Township, Chester County, from 5 p.m. to 5 a.m. from Sept. 30 through Nov. 1.

• One lane will be closed on westbound Route 422 between the Sanatoga and Route 724 interchanges in Lower Pottsgrove Township, Montgomery County and North Coventry Township, Chester County, from 7 p.m. to 1 p.m. from Sept. 30 through Nov. 1.

The work is part of a $73.3 million project to improve Route 422 in Lower Pottsgrove and North Coventry Townships.
