Private Party Causes Unexpected Fireworks Display

Area residents questioned the fireworks display that went off at 10 p.m. on Saturday.

Waltz Golf Farm in Limerick is known for its Fourth of July Fireworks Extravaganza, but when a display went off in the area after 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, neighbors were confused.

According to Patch readers on Facebook, fireworks could be seen after 10 p.m. from Limerick and Royersford; near Schwenksville, residents heard loud explosions around the same time, but saw no lights display.

When questioned on Facebook by a resident, Waltz Golf Farm stated that the fireworks were scheduled for 9:30 p.m., but a family member planning to attend the party was stuck in traffic and did not want to miss the fireworks. The show was held as long as possible, and ended at 10:06 p.m.

The host of the party was observant of the Sabbath and could not drive from another state until sundown, hence the later show, according Waltz Farm.

The Ridge Pike business apologized for any inconvenience.
