5 Royersford Businesses Top the Best of Philly List

If you're looking for sweet or savory, Royersford is the place to go for top-rated treats, according to the Philly Hot List.

Main Street in Royersford is the place to be for top-rated food, according to the PHL17 Hot List.

Annamarie’s Place, French Quarter Bistro and Iced by Betsy all took the top honor in their categories; Sweet Ashley’s Chocolate and Nelson’s Ice Cream were finalists, voted on by visitors.

Annamarie’s Place top the top spot out of 90 other breakfast shops in the Philadelphia region for the “Best Breakfast” category; marking the fourth year the  restaurant, located at 347 Main Street, has received top honors.

“Love Annamarie's,” said one reader.  “Her staff are the friendliest around and Annamarie always comes around to see that everyone is happy. I'd drive hours for the chance to eat there!”

French Quarter Bistro, located at 215 Main Street, was voted No. 1 in the “Best Soul Food” category; marking the fourth consecutive win since 2009, according to the website.  This year, the competition was bigger than years past by more than 10 establishments – FQB competed against 31 restaurants from the Philadelphia area.

“Every soup, salad, appetizer, entree, and dessert I have tried has been absolutely delicious,” said one French Quarter Bistro fanatic.

Iced by Betsy Cupcakes took No. 1 in the “Best Cupcake” category. Located at 125 Main Street, the shop made the list since 2010, but this is the first time taking the top spot.

“Best cupcakes you'll ever eat and best employees you'll ever meet,” said one reader. “Such an amazing business.”

Sweet Ashley’s Chocolate, located at 343 Main Street, came in No. 4 in the “Best Chocolate” category; the business has been in the Top 5 for the past five years,

Adding to the list of top-rated sweet spots in Royersford, Nelson’s Ice Cream came in No. 2 in the “Best Ice Cream Shop” category, out of 48 entries.  The shop, located at 627 Main Street, is on the list for the first time this year.

“The only truly local family owned ice cream business in the area,” said one voter.  “No one beats their rich 16% butter fat creamy deliciousness!”
