New Dental Office Looks to Transcend the Cliches

Limerick Square Shopping Center is the new home to Transcend Dental - a new local dentistry.

As of Monday, is open for business to local residents in need of a complete dental service. Operated by Jared Ayes, the new dentistry looks to be a complete operation, bringing in a periodontist in Dr. Sam Khoury, a general dentist in Dr. Lorron Tokpa and a hygienist in Susan Doebling. The new office is located in Limerick Square Shopping Center near the .

Currently, the office will be open to its client base on Mondays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., with plans to expand once the fresh client base grows. Doebling will only be coming in a few times a month for the time being. According Ayes, Dr. Khoury and himself have years of experience in the field and are confident in their ability to provide the best overall clinical experience for patients.

Ayes said he has been in the works of bringing in both an oral surgeon and an orthodontist.

"We are here to be your family dentist," said Ayes. "We will see your children, your wife, your husband and we have many specialties in office. We have general dentistry, periodontics, orthodontics, as well as endodontic. We are able to provide every service for the patient here in the office. It makes it easier and more comfortable. Our doctors are extremely personable and want to get to know each of their patients."

The name Transcend Dental comes from what Ayes described as the overall experience when coming to the office.

"We wanted to create a new experience for dental patients," said Ayes. "Most patients dread going to the dental office, whether it’s for a routine procedure or intensive surgery, there is an inherent fear of going to the dentist. We want to transcend their dental experience and make something they look forward to doing."

The inside of the office has brand new interior including microbial walls, which are more sanitary for patients to be around, two dual-serving digital x-rays, which are shared by cabinets between the four rooms, new flooring and fresh-painted walls and flat-screen televisions in every room so that patients can see their x-rays. The office will also have soothing music playing in the background.

Most interesting is the fact that the office provides patient education videos for whatever procedure the patient is having so that he or she can understand why the procedure is being done and what it will do for his or her general health.

If you really dread the dental experience, Transcend Dental offers IV or oral sedation.

"We want to make [the experience] brand new for them," Ayes said. "The whole idea is so that you feel comfortable coming to one place, not having to go to a bunch of different places. The idea is to grow this and get bigger and expand to the next store, so we have more than four operatories."

The state-of-the-art technology also offers oral awareness, including detection of plenty of mouth problems, including oral cancer.

For those without insurance, the office provides a multi-tiered in-house plan, which can provide exams, x-rays and emergency visits completely covered for the entire year. There is also interest refinancing available for general flexibility for patients that need it.

Finally, the dentist will be giving free screenings to kids in the Spring-Ford Area School District to help make them and their parents aware of any issues they may have. The partnership gives the practice an engaging way to integrate itself into the community and gain more clients.

Ayes is excited to progress the business and become a part of the Royersford community.

"Monday was an exciting day overall," Ayes said. "We're looking to grow upon it."
