New Hand & Stone Massage Spa Opens in Royersford

Gilbertsville's Denise Vizzini has just opened a Hand and Stone Massage & Facial Spa in Royersford, in the Shops at Upper Providence, and she is excited about the opportunity. 

"It's a lifelong dream," Vizzini told Patch the week before the spa opened. 

Hand and Stone is a massage and facial services franchise that focuses on making those services affordable for everyone. 

Vizzini and her husband Jim know they face competition from many day spas in the area. 

Vizzini says that Hand and Stone is different because it makes beneficial services accessible to a large audience. 

Vizzini has been a massage therapist for fifteen years, and recently relocated from New Jersey to open the Hand and Stone location. 

Her focus on massage therapy started when a family member was in a devastating car accident, and massage therapy helped with their recovery. 

Vizzini says her mission, besides making massage services affordable, is to bring community awareness of the benefits of massage. 

"It's good to have that downtime," Vizzini said. 

The spa officially opened on Sunday, December 9. 

Regular hours will be Monday through Friday 9am-10pm, Saturday 8am to 8pm, and Sunday 10am-6pm. 

Hand and Stone offers multiple types of massages and facials. Monthly memberships are available at a discount. 

"If you sign up for a membership and you can't use it that month, you can have two serives the following month or we'll tack it on to the end of your membership period," Vizzini explained.
