Wegmans Issues Recall of Pumpkin Rolls

The grocery chain said the product may contain pieces of plastic that could pose a choking hazard.

Wegmans has issued a recall on several sizes of pumpkin rolls, saying they could contain pieces of plastic that pose a choking hazard.

The Rochester-based grocery chain said the products were sold in the bakery section between Sept. 1 and Oct. 30.

It is not known how many pumpkin rolls were sold at the new Gambrills location, which opened Sunday.

Wegmans said the pieces of plastic came from packaging. Customers alerted Wegmans to the problem.

The recall involved the following items:

Whole roll, 21oz - UPC: 77890-99686
Half roll, 10oz - UPC: 77890-36693
Two slices, 6oz - UPC: 77890-36684
