GIANT donates $3 million to local schools

GIANT Food Stores announced today a $3 million donation to 2,057 public and private schools through its A+ School Rewards program for the 2013-2014 school year. Since the program launched in 2005, more than $19 million has been donated to local schools throughout participating markets in the four states GIANT operates.

GIANT A+ School Rewards program allows local schools to earn cash for technology, scholarships, school programs, field trips, playgrounds, and other educational needs. After customers had designated the school(s) of their choice, A+ School Rewards points accrued with each purchase made using a BonusCard from October 6, 2013 through March 22, 2014.
