The Fabulous Greaseband, a seven-member nostalgic dance-party band and concert attraction, will return to the historic Sunnybrook Ballroom on Saturday, October 5, for the annual Meals on Wheels fundraising event.
The Fabulous Greaseband features outstanding male and female lead
vocals in a front trio backed by a gifted group of instrumentalists. They
perform extensively along the East Coast with their popularity centered between
Washington, D.C. and New York City. Their highly entertaining and energetic
delivery of some of the greatest songs ever written has kept the group on top
for well over 30 years.
Funds raised during this event will benefit Family Services’ Meals
on Wheels program. Each weekday, Meals on Wheels provides two meals, a hot
lunch and a cold supper to refrigerate, to an average of 160 homebound elderly
and disabled individuals in Pottstown, Royersford and the Lower Perkiomen
Valley. Community volunteers personally deliver approximately 80,000 meals a
year, bringing nourishment, friendship and a kind word to those most in

fundraising efforts, we are able to serve seniors and disabled individuals who
turn to our program for assistance,” said Ruth Hood, program director, Meals on
Wheels. “As the senior population in the western portion of Montgomery County
continues to grow, Family Services’ Meals on Wheels program strives to support
the goal of the Meals on Wheels Association of America — that no senior goes to

Sunnybrook Road, Pottstown. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. Show begins at 8 p.m.
Tickets are $25 per person (general admission). Advance tickets are
recommended. A limited number of reserved tables (8 seats) are still available.
A cash beverage and snack bar will be available. In addition, there will be a
50/50 drawing and several raffle items, including lift tickets to Bear Creek
Mountain Resort and two rounds of golf at Limerick Golf Club.
