Health & Fitness

Life is meant to be lived...

Just like snowflakes, every person is subtly different than the next as to why they decide to try something, commit to something, change something... Our programs, Lose to Win and PACT are formulated with this in mind... And although we do ask because we care about each person's story...what I know is that the reason doesn't necessarily matter. What does?... is the depth of the desire inside that person. It is the deciding factor as to success. At least in my experience it seems that way. My brother was just, today, explaining the concept of future discounting to my son age 11. He was explaining that the present 11 year old didn't think much about his 30 year old version because that's generally what people do.. they don't save enough, they make "I want this now" choices versus the long term choices... and I found it so interesting because what I find from our members is that when they get to us.. the biggest a-ha they have is that digging deep today is not a punishment for the past choices but an investment in their future... and the ones that GET this.. succeed.
Every. Single. Time.
Like those snowflakes, not every one gets it at the same time... subtle differences but when they do - oh well ... look out!!
So our next story illustrates this perfectly. It comes from our wonderful Rebecca, whom we adore. She has been with the program for 6 months. A very successful 6 months. She has had an amazing summer so far and it has a lot more to do with the change in her mindset than it does the pounds she has lost... She has decided life is meant to be lived... And we say to that... testify, Rebecca, testify!
Here is Rebecca's journey to date in her own words.

Rebecca
Two months. That's the initial membership length for the Lose To Win program at CoreFit Training Studio. Two months. What could it hurt? I had tried method after method to lose the extra weight that had been slowing me down, physically and emotionally, for years. Two months, in the grand scheme of life is nothing. Two months to give the program my all and see what happened.

What happened has been a life changer for me. What happened was that I realized that all of my previous weight loss attempts were all missing something and Lose To Win had every piece of the puzzle I needed to finally get myself where I need and want to be.

Nutrition? Check. Available through one on one counseling, group classes, a private Facebook page and just a text away whenever I have a question. Real, healthy food fit into my life. Food that keeps me energized all day and isn't processed and full of chemicals like so much of what I used to eat. Food that tastes good, fills me up and makes me feel good about eating. Food that I will eat for the rest of my life - not just on a "diet."

Exercise? Check. Exercise modified just for me. Exercise in classes with people just like like me. Exercise provided by the absolute best trainers out there. They aren't there just for the exercise. They are there to give a push when they know you can handle it, to encourage when they know you need it, to listen when they sense you're struggling. They truly care about everyone at the gym and are completely invested in our success.

Support? Check. From the first time I stepped into CoreFit, I felt as if I was part of a family. Lose To Win members have a private Facebook page that allows us to share ideas, recipes and encouragement with each other.
Two months has turned into six. See what happens has turned into more than 50 pounds and many inches lost. What I've lost is wonderful. What I've gained is even better. Friendship, confidence, energy, a support system and lessons to last a lifetime.
