2013 Oscar Nominations Announced

Nine movies are nominated for Best Picture.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced their nominations for the 85th annual Academy Awards in an early-morning presentation hosted by Seth McFarlane and Emma Stone.

The Best Picture category has nine nominees this year - after a rule change a few years ago, there can be as many as ten.

Lincoln, starring Daniel Day-Lewis and Sally Field, leads the nominations with 12; Life of Pi, based on the book of the same name, had 11.
