Christmas Pageant

St. James UCC, Neighbor

Join us on December 23 for our Christmas pageant! This year, our pageant will have a Southwestern twist as we perform The Farolitos of Christmas.  The book tells the story of a young girl and her Abuelo (grandfather) during Advent in New Mexico.  When Abuelo’s illness means he’s unable to cut wood for the usual Christmas bonfires, they create small paper lanterns (farolitos) instead, which light the way for Christmas pilgrims as they remember the journeys of Mary, Joseph, and the shepherds.
