Ursinus College Wind Ensemble Concert

The Ursinus College Wind Ensemble will present a concert on Friday, November 9, at 7:30 p.m. in the Kaleidoscope Performing Arts Center’s Lenfest Theater. The event is free and open to the public. No tickets or reservations are required.


Conducted by Earl Paine, the Wind Ensemble will perform a variety of works, including Aaron Copland’s “Fanfare for the Common Man,” W. Frances McBeth’s “Chant and Jubilo,” Charles Carter’s “Symphonic Overture,” John P. Sousa’s “Semper Fidelis,” and Gustav Holst’s “First Suite in E flat.”


Other selections include “Robin Hood Prince of Thieves Symphonic Suite” (Michael Kaman, arr. Lavender), “Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring” (J. S. Bach, arr. Reed), “Strike Up the Band” (George Gershwin, arr. Barker), and “Prelude and Fugue in B flat major” (J.S. Bach, arr. Moehlman).
