Local Veterans Honored With Complimentary Breakfast

Chapter 25 of the Disabled American Veterans and the Royersford Applebee’s, at 70 Buckwalter Road, welcomed Veterans for a complimentary breakfast on Saturday, August 11.

The DAV is an organization committed to helping disabled veterans and their families to build better lives, receive benefits, and to give them a voice on Capitol Hill.

The breakfast was not only a “thank you” to local veterans, but also an opportunity for them to learn how the DAV might help them file a VA claim or other benefits.

“I just want to thank you all for being here, for serving our country, and for doing what you do everyday,” stated a member of the DAV.

While the vets in attendance enjoyed their breakfast, an informational video about the DAV played on the restaurant’s many televisions, and a kiosk was set up in the foyer where more information could be obtained and t-shirts and books could be purchased.
