Local Veterans Honored With Complimentary Breakfast

Royersford Applebee's hosted Chapter 25 of the Disabled American Veteran's complimentary breakfast for local troops..

Chapter 25 of the Disabled American Veterans and the Royersford Applebee’s, at 70 Buckwalter Road, welcomed Veterans for a complimentary breakfast on Saturday, August 11.

The DAV is an organization committed to helping disabled veterans and their families to build better lives, receive benefits, and to give them a voice on Capitol Hill.

The breakfast was not only a “thank you” to local veterans, but also an opportunity for them to learn how the DAV might help them file a VA claim or other benefits.

“I just want to thank you all for being here, for serving our country, and for doing what you do everyday,” stated a member of the DAV.

While the vets in attendance enjoyed their breakfast, an informational video about the DAV played on the restaurant’s many televisions, and a kiosk was set up in the foyer where more information could be obtained and t-shirts and books could be purchased.

Love to see local businesses paying if forward especially to those that are the most deserving. As far as I am concerned, we can't thank our veterans enough. Thank you Royersford Applebee's. =)
