OBIT: John P. Keil, 60, of Royersford

Keil was a member of Royersford Methodist Church; services are on Saturday.

John P. Keil, 60, husband of Vicki L. (Viola) Keil, of Royersford, passed away on Monday, December 9, 2013, in the Pottstown Memorial Medical Center.  Born in Mount Troy, PA, he was a son of the late John G. and Katherine “Katie” (McFarlane) Keil.

John was a member of Royersford United Methodist Church.  He had most recently been employed for Lucent where he had met his wife of 20 years.  Prior, he had been employed as an electronic journeyman in Newport News, VA, the Pittsburgh steel industry and Bell of PA in his youth.  He enjoyed tinkering with carpentry and was affectionately known to his family as “Wile E. Coyote, Super Genius.”

In addition to his wife, John is survived by his daughter, Lexi Keil, of Royersford and his brother, Mark, husband of Annie Metzger, of Pittsburgh.  He was preceded in death by one brother, Robert G. Keil.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service on Saturday, January 11, 2014, at 1:00 p.m., at the Royersford United Methodist Church, Church Street and Fourth Avenue, Royersford.  Officiating will be the Rev. Zabdiel Y Khan.  In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Lexi Keil College Fund, c/o Norristown Bell Federal Credit Union, 1407 Erbs Mill Road, Blue Bell, PA 19422.  Arrangements are being handled by the Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home.  Condolences may be offered online atwww.RoyersfordFuneralHome.com
