Obituary: Brian K. Straub, 55

1974 Spring-Ford graduate; member of Grace Lutheran Church; Oct. 22

Brian K. Straub, age 55, of Royersford, PA, formerly of Philadelphia, PA died Sunday, October 22, 2012 in the Lehigh Valley Medical Center, Muhlenberg Campus after a brief illness.  Born in Royersford, PA, he is the son of Joyce E. (Overholtzer) Straub, of Royersford, and the late Carl W. Straub.  He was a 1974 graduate of the Spring-Ford High School.  Brian also received a degree in graphics and communications from the East Stroudsburg University.  He worked for several computer companies in the Philadelphia area.  Brian was an avid photographer.  He was also a member of the Grace Lutheran Church in Royersford his whole life. 

In addition to his mother, Brian is survived by two sisters: Christina L. Straub Caputo, wife of William Caputo, of Altoona, PA; Sandra E., wife of Ronald DiAntonio, of Easton, PA; and four nephews. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial service at the Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Main Street at Sixth Avenue, Royersford, PA on Thursday afternoon, October 25, 2012 at 1:00 PM.  Officiating will be the Rev. Paul H. Neff.  Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family.  Friends will be received from 12:00 - 12:45 on Thursday at the Church.  Condolences may be offered online by visiting www.RoyersfordFuneralHome.com.

 In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made in his name to the American Cancer Society, 1620 Locust Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103 or the "Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church - Strunk Fund", which will be used for college scholarships for students in the Church, 594 Church Street, 1st floor, Royersford, PA 19468.  The Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, PA is in charge of the arrangements.
