$17,000 for a Heater?!

A local homeowner recently paid $17,000 for a heater installation.  Apparently it was on an emergency basis and they didn't get more than one estimate.  The mega company they had install it used high pressure, next day installation tactics.  That is over$10,000 more than what a local HVAC company would have charged.
