Facts Regarding DiBello Editorial

Well I knew it was only a matter of time before these same old fabrications were brought up again. Even though I wasn't going to engage in this nonsense I feel that I need to state the FACTS again. So let me address these one at a time.

FACT: The Republican Committee at that time did formulate a letter. The same committee until recently that I have been a member of since 2001; the same committee that endorsed me, after I resigned as Township Supervisor, when I won a seat on the Pa Delegation representing the 6th Congressional District during the 2004 Republican National Convention; the same committee that endorsed me to run and win a Limerick Township Auditor's position, and the same committee that endorsed me for Spring Ford School Board in 2009. The mentioned letter was just dirty politics in Limerick Township because this same group of people is set on destroying one’s reputation doing whatever it takes.

FACT: I did and I am proud to say that I stood up for Westmont Soccer.  As stated before I did tell the Township Manager at the time, not to go looking for issues at Westmont unless there is a complaint. This was the same policy carried out by the Township before I was a supervisor as well as after I left the board. That was exactly what I said at the meeting. That same night the Attorney representing Westmont Soccer had a court reporter recording the meeting. If a township drives around the community randomly looking for issues they would need to visit each and every house doing the same.  You can't do selective enforcement.

FACT: We as a board at the time did take action on Westmont for all their reported violations.  As stated in other newspaper articles Westmont had to appear in front of the Magistrate because they did not address their violations according to the ordinances. As a board member I supported the code office fully.

FACT: I did buy a generator from Grainger's Supply in Trooper. There was an error with invoicing and it was corrected long before it was publicized. In fact the reason why it became public was because I corrected the problem. Someone in the community filed a complaint with both the PA Ethics Commission and the Montgomery County DA. In both instances I was cleared of any wrong doing much to someone's dismay.  But of course no one will report that!!!

FACT: I resigned from the board due to the fact that my father was diagnosed with a very rare cancer and required intense treatments in New York City. I made a decision that I haven't regretted since. People want to say I resigned in disgrace. If taking care of a terminally ill family member and trying to save their life is a disgrace then so be it.  At the time my main concern was my father and I did not have time to properly represent the Township.  But again that is not what gets reported.   As far as my dad we battled the cancer but in the end I lost not only a great dad but a close friend.

FACT: Over the past 4 years we have made numerous advancements in the district including investing in our Elementary School programs.  We have reduced spending; we reduced the deficit by $60 million, reduced the average tax increase to lowest in the past 12 years and have moved the district into the top 6% within the state.   Those are the types of successes my opponents don’t want to mention.  As far as class sizes we are following the same guidelines put forth by the previous superintendent Dr. Hurda.

It has been my pleasure to serve our community since moving here in 1998. Over those years I helped battle the then board of supervisors from building another power plant in the community; I participate in organizing and coaching youth sports and I support the business community in my efforts as President of Limerick Township's Economic Development Committee. I am an honest, hard working professional trying to make a difference in our community.   My opponents don’t want compare their record while serving on the board with mine so they are trying to destroy my reputation.

If elected I will do my best to serve you well over the next several years. Please visit www.dibelloforschoolboard.com, it highlights my background, community service, intentions and goals.
