Letter to the Editor: Gun Store Too Close to Studios for Kids

New business will be in the Trappe Shopping Center

There is a new store that is going in The Trappe Shopping Center on Main Street in Trappe. It is called, GUNS, INC.

Not sure if you are familiar with this shopping center, but four doors down is a KARATE studio and a DANCE studio. Whether you are for or against guns, I feel it is very poor taste by the property owner, LONGVIEW, to have such a business so close to where children come and go all day and evening.

Thank you,

Cindi Yeager

Hey Cindi and Herman I shop at Guns inc andhope to be increasing their business. It's a great place for the business. It is their right. stop in there and find out what the firearms sporting community is up to. Educate yourselves. I am a firearms instructor, I would be willing to give you some free instruction so that you can then make an educated decision on if this store is too close to anything.

@ Cindi, Do you live in Trappe? I don't believe that you do. Guns, Inc. is a welcome new business to the depressed Trappe Shopping Center. Guns are flying off the shelves, responsible legal buyers all. The shooting community consists of nice, helpful people. If you ever visited a nearby retail indoor range like Target Master or French Creek Outfitters, you'll find the gun community clamoring over each other to instruct you, teach, make you a safe firearm handler. A more civilized lot you won't find on a golf course. The children of Trappe are safe from Guns Inc and their clients.

@Cindi, my name is Eric richardson, and I live in the trappe area and do business with guns inc. jacks comments above are right on the money. We need more store owners in the area like the guns inc. owners. I have an 8yo. And a 12 yo. Both girls, and both are beginning shooters. Knowing the owners and employees I would argue that the children that attend activities at the surrounding shops (mine included) are in the safest place in the township other than inside the police station. If you took 1 step inside the shooting community your fears would subside immediately. The media, the current administration , and a few horrible psychotic apples have given us, as a whole, a very bad name. Have a good weekend.

I have 6 kids and I have plenty of guns, all locked in a safe place like most people who shop a gun stores and not back alleys we would never do anything to mess up the privilege of our second amendments. It's funny how people hate guns but if some creep was walking around that complex with a gun which stop do you think most people would run into. Probably not the karate place unless Bruce Lee was in there. Just saying. Not everyone who loves and owns a gun is a creep. I myself am a loving Father, husband, and Teacher who just happens to enjoy firearms. Don't hate it because you might not understand it.
