What Would You Like to See Go Here?

We are asking the community its opinion on empty stores. Here's your chance to express your views.

We continue this week with our public opinion segment on empty storefronts. We're heading back over to the Amelia's Shopping Center, where we once visited the old Chic Snyder's spot. There is yet another empty storefront in this shopping center. This one is closer to the Dollar Store.

I'm not really sure what would fit here, as the unit is not quite as "noticible" as ones we've featured in the past. The sign on the building says it is 2,075 square feet. The possibilities could be endless with your thoughts!

What do you want to see go here? A lot of people have suggested the need for a new local bakery in the past, but what about a specialty butcher of sorts? Or, how about a sushi takeout place? I've also heard requests for a Saladworks in the past.

Let us know what you think folks! Leave your thoughts in the comments section and keep an eye out for more stories like this. We'll try to highlight an empty storefront every week.

I love these posts! what about a fedex store. closest one is in collegeville I think. does anyone kno if we have a bike sales and repair shop around here because I was thinking that too

Thanks Joey. After a Google search, it appears the closest bike shops are in Phoenixville. So, not a bad idea! I was thinking it over and I realized we don't have a Five Guys around here. That might fit this location. Anyone else have thoughts?

I like the idea of a bike shop. The Comp-U-Ship store, just a few doors from this location, will ship via FedEx. I would like to see Perry's Place, formerly on Main St in Spring City, reopen at this location.

I would like to see a "Panera Bread" Restaurant here. We have enough pizza shops. Let's start thinking "healthy"....

Panera is a good answer. Have you ever had Cosi? I like that place better - similar concept, more my style of food.

Because of the location, it would have to be something that could grow based on reputation rather than visibility. Better signage for that entire mall wouldn't hurt either. It is a large space so it could be split to be a butch/bakery or one of those with a deli or cafe attached. This would be a great addition to the mall that already has a fresh fruit and veggie place, wine & spirits and a bulk grocery store. You could get your entire fresh meal in one stop. Other than that...I'm really missing the Hibachi place that closed down...
