Accused in Limerick hit-and-run has yet to speak to police

Her attorney's statement said "no effort" made to conceal Patricia Maurer's involvement in the incident.

A 74-year old Gilbertsville widow has not yet spoken to authorities about her involvement in a hit-and-run that killed a Royersford woman on Township Line Road in Limerick on Wednesday afternoon, the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

The attorney for Patricia Maurer told the Inquirer that the vehicle that struck and killed 26-year-old Kristy Bender was surrendered to authorities on Wednesday.

"There was no effort to hide Mrs. Maurer's involvement in this accident from anyone," attorney Joseph P. Green said in a statement.

Montgomery County First Assistant Attorney Kevin Steele told the Inquirer that Maurer has not yet spoken with authorities.
